EAT TO YOUR HEART'S CONTENT : CAVITE'S CHATEAU HESTIA

Intrigued by its name, inspired by the Greek goddess of hearth, fire and entertainment, some friends accompanied me to an evening of tete-a-tete with the man behind this charming country-European dining destination, Chateau Hestia.

Chateau Hestia's country-style cozy interiors

Established in 2007 and still a work in progress as Austrian-owner Johannes Zehethofer shares, Chateau Hestia transports you to a place and time where everything is simply wonderful. This cozy, country-style setting amidst the cool crisp air of nearby Tagaytay is a perfect rendezvous for weekend get-togethers. Wooden planks holds this two-storey hideaway and splashes of color from well-chosen fabrics to art pieces made by Johannes' daughter Julianna light up almost every corner of the room.

Chateau Hestia's Osso Buco Milanese

The highlight? Every epicurean's dream of the best European dishes tucked in an idyllic setting. From Osso Buco Milanese made from slow-cooked beef shanks to authentic Italian Margherita Pizza, it's definitely a dining pleasure at its finest.
Chateau Hestia's Gelato Artigianale

Though I would not want this evening to end, it ends with a sweet note. Their very own Gelato Artigianale is their homemade ice cream, made from nothing but pure goodness.
