A JEWEL IN DAVAO REGION
I have visited Davao Region's Davao City a number of times and I am
constantly captivated by its beauty and bounties. In my previous written works published in various food and travel magazines,
I have even entertained the idea that Davao would be a good place in the event
I relocate and felt the need for a better place after my overly stressful work
in the field of television production.
Tagum City streets filled with palm trees |
Every visit to this jewel in Mindanao, I search for new cities and islands to explore. During my last trip to Davao region, I hopped on a cab from Davao City Airport and traveled to Tagum City, just 45minutes of land travel without traffic. Why Tagum City? I wanted to visit Banana Beach Resort, said to be the only beach resort in the world, found in a banana plantation.

The Spot offers fishing and crabbing for enthusiasts and your choice of
fish and crab dishes can be concocted for your eating pleasure. Fortunate that
during this trip, they have just introduced crabbing for their guests to enjoy.

one of the six air-conditioned casitas, stroll in the verdant garden with
colorful blooms, fishing and crabbing at The Spot, bask in the glory of the
black sand beach and fill your tummies with delicious creations inspired by the
Mindanao tribes and flavored with Davao's famous exotic fruits.

ReplyDeleteYou are making me want to travel to Philippines. A beach resort on banana plantation sounds amazing. The scenery is just so lush and tropical. The food looks just amazing. I think I need to look for flights tonight.
ReplyDeleteThat resort looks amazing! All of the food looks really delicious, too. But I love how green everything looked in terms of the scenery! Such a beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! what a great place to escape! The food and the scenery would be enough for me to want to stay there forever! :) I need an escape like this very soon!
ReplyDeleteTagum City looks like a wonderful vacation destination. I love the thatched roof and the beautiful gardens. The food looks absolutely wonderful! I bet the flavor difference of a fresh banana compared to the store bought is incomparable!
