I am a movie buff. It is one of my favorite pastime especially when there is nothing good to watch on local free TV. You see (for the younger generations), during the 80s and 90s we were not blessed with hundreds of cable channels and YouTube was not even born yet. Oh, I hate to recall these things, I feel so old (hahaha)!

Just some of my favorite Hollywood actors and actresses :
Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Morgan Freeman, Tom Cruise,
Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock, Keanu Reeves, Jackie Chan & Will Smith

Going to movie theaters is a hard habit to break (as the song goes). For me, it's a way to relieve exhaustion and stress from my crazy TV work. Well, there were times when I have not seen any new releases for several months but whenever time permits, I could not just resist - especially when my favorite actors and actresses are gracing the silver screen - Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Keanu Reeves, Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Jackie Chan, Will Smith, Morgan Freeman, and Samuel L. Jackson (and those are just a few - oh my! now you have an idea what generation I am part of).

Watch your fave flicks at the theaters while munching

There are those who prefer to dine decently before entering these dark movie houses and there are those that munch away while the movie is running. And I am one of those who prefer the latter. There was a time in my life that I would constantly order One-Piece Chicken Joy with Spaghetti from Jollibee, at times when I would usually order Wendy's Chicken Fillet Sandwich (biggie combo size) plus Original Frosty, moments when I just open several bags of chips and chocolates that I bought from the supermarket.

My favorite nachos from Nacho King (JUMBO size!)

And then there is a platter of nachos from Nacho King. If only I can have it my way, I would always munch on nachos by Nacho King. You see my regular movie hang-out place does not offer Nacho King as another chips/nachos oriented product is being sold. I have to travel all the way to SM MOA if I am craving for Nacho King. Sad to say though, even before the movie starts I have consumed the JUMBO size Nacho King I ordered. Who can resist those crunchy nachos, slathered with thick melted cheese then topped with sauteed ground Beef and flavorful Salsa, plus more cheese! Just writing this post makes me want to rush to the nearest Nacho King branch.

Nacho King food cart at SM MOA

Nacho King opened its first outlet in April 1995 and as history tells it, this unassuming Mexican dish has become a hit among the Filipinos and has grown to about 100 stalls. Nacho King comes in a variety of sizes, but to truly enjoy this simple yet amazing snack, I prefer the biggest size - at least it would last until the scrolling of the opening credits of the movie! Nachos by Nacho King is just one of the reasons to lift your Monday blues - even if you don't have to go to the movies.

*This article (and in the many articles in this blog) is written not for publicity of sorts. Nacho King is JUST one of my favorites!
