CEBU
Philippine festivities are highly religious oriented, full of
flair, flamboyantly colorful and makes you just want to join in all the fun
even if it means walking for hours, sweating under our tropical climate and
being squeezed by other spectators.
After all the revelry, you remember one thing - you're immensely famished! When our tummies grumble, there is no other way to escape its deafening call but give in.
Bulalo all-you-can at Royal Concourse
Royal Concourse may just be your refuge if you are at the Queen City of the South - Cebu City while joining the world-class Sinulog Festival. Royal Concourse tags itself as the Ultimate Crispy Pata Buffet. You can enjoy a variety of dishes from dimsum (siomai), egg noodles (pancit), seafood choices of clams and mussels and hot-piping Bulalo.
Salad choices at Royal Concourse
A salad bar can also be had at the right most area of the long buffet table. A word of caution though, if you're after a filling meal, go ahead and enjoy. But if you're looking for great-tasting buffet dishes, better head to other buffet restaurants or hotel buffets if you prefer to indulge.
When you're craving for Crispy Pata and would like to try Royal Concourse, trick when eating here is be on the lookout when their chopping and serving a new batch of their crispy pata - the meat is a bit more tender and the skin is somehow crispier.
Until next time, hope you continue to join me as I share with you my dear fellow food lovers more deliriously delicious dining discoveries here at Eat To Your Heart's Content As I always say, Live Well, Laugh Often, Eat To Your Heart's Content!

Family Farm Grill House's native facade |
Family Farm Grill House has only been in the restaurant industry for a little over three years, since they opened last June 2008 but has surely become a dining destination when visiting Cebu or when craving for authentic Filipino cuisine. Think of Cabalen and Barrio Fiesta and I am definite Family Farm Grill House will become part of that league, not only of their delectable menu but of the warm hospitality by its staff and gracious owners who originally hail from Manila.

A generous bowl of Kare-Kare served at Family Farm Grill House |
Family Farm Grill House has been a great addition to my growing list of must-dine restaurants whenever I am visiting the captivating province of Cebu. A large bowl of steaming Kare-Kare with overflowing ingredients from its meat to the freshly picked vegetables. The Kare-Kare sauce has just the right amount of rich consistency akin to a home-cooked dish our grandmothers prepare. During my visit, their generous serving at Php150 was actually good for four people.

Roasted chicken for your dining pleasure at Family Farm Grill House |
Another dish that should not be missed is their moist, tender and overly addicting roasted chicken. What you get is freshly roasted chicken since they have their own open wood-fire, Pinoy-style rotisserie, similar when roasting suckling pigs. What's best, you can literally watch your order of chicken while being roasted and savor the mouth watering aroma that will surely make your tummy grumble even more. Pay only Php140 for their scrumptious, golden roasted Lechon Manok (Roasted Chicken).

Family Farm Grill House's own brand of Cebu Lechon |
When in Cebu, never ever leave without tasting their world-famous lechon and Family Farm Grill House has their own version of the local lechon without the need for sauce. Tagged at Php290 a kilo, their Lechon Baboy is rich in flavor and tender in every bite. Just like their Lechon Manok, their Lechon Baboy is roasted the same way and with a capacity of 300 people, serving from 10am to 10pm, their roasted pig is served freshly cooked daily.

As if stepping into a country pub, the place is donned with dark wood furnishings and decorated with large flags of various nations. At the right side is where pool players enjoy while the focal point is a huge bar with about a hundred of spirits to choose from.
Completing their array of liquors, they also have a hundred of dishes to offer, although at the time of my visit, owner Wayne McCallum was contemplating of cutting their menu and offering their best-sellers and all-time favorites to a decent number.

Blueberry Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream from Badger's Sports & Dining Pub |
During this visit, I got to taste two of their delectable desserts. Blueberry Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream, a simple name with simple plating but you get some of the world's best - blueberry goodness in a pie and creamy vanilla ice cream. Simply satisfying!

This English Trifle is so irresistible! |
A night out at an English pub would not be complete if I don't try an authentic dessert - English Trifle is a blend of thick cream and the richness of butter whipped in a variety of fruits and topped with maraschino cherry then served in a tall glass you can enjoy, spoonful after spoonful.
